About The Book
The novel follows two siblings, Danny and Maeve, in the house they grew up in across the years. Though they move out of it, they continue visiting the house as it plays a formidable role in shaping their lives and their personalities.
My Review: Read It If You Like Ann Patchett
I do like her writing but I didn’t connect well with the characters – Danny was hugely annoying to me. The novel also jumps back and forth between timelines, and when you’re not reading the book in one sitting, tends to give me a bloody headache.
Favourite Quote
There are a few times in life when you leap up and the past that you’ve been standing on falls away behind you, and the future you mean to land on is not yet in place, and for a moment you’re suspended, knowing nothing and no one, not even yourself.

Why You Should Read It
If you like intergenerational novels and dysfunctional family drama, but maybe if these interest you then you require therapy too. Just saying.
